First Friends Lunch and Speaker Series

You Might Be Right, co-hosted by Tennessee’s two most recent former Governors, Republican Bill Haslam and Democrat Phil Bredesen, seeks to facilitate civil discussions about tough topics through conversations between the hosts and a variety of expert guests. The podcast derives its name from Senator Howard Baker’s famous quote about the need to “admit that the other person may be right from time to time” and draws inspiration from Baker’s ability to cross party lines, listen, and find solutions to complex problems. The Baker School of Public Policy at the University of Tennessee works to remind the country that the best solutions come from listening to many perspectives. Join us as the producers of this podcast give us a good overview of their program and how topics are developed and share stories of some of the episodes. Lunch is $10 per person and can be paid for in person on in advance online.
